2026 CDC Update & FAQs
About the Update
We’re excited to announce the upcoming launch of our new Care & Discipleship Course content on IBCD Connect!
This update features 19 fresh training sessions from Dr. Jim Newheiser and Dr. Scott Mehl, as well as free digital handbook downloads.
From the date these materials are released through January 1, 2027, both the original CDC (or “Legacy”) materials and the new CDC content will be accessible on IBCD Connect.
If you’re currently working through the CDC program, we encourage you to transition to the new content after the launch by simply proceeding from the last module you completed directly to the next module in our new course path.
If you’re just getting started on your CDC training, you can access the updated courses directly in the new course module.
If you prefer to finish the Legacy materials, they’ll remain available on IBCD Connect through January 1, 2027. Please note that CDC exams and program requirements remain unchanged with the release of the new content.
