What is the difference between ACBC and IBCD?
ACBC is a biblical counseling certifying agency. IBCD is an ACBC Certified Training Center. ACBC has approved our material for training purposes. We offer a certificate of completion program (CDC) that may help prepare you for ACBC Certification, but we do not offer a full certification. Learn more about this at ibcd.org/acbc.
Does IBCD offer counseling?
No. We do not offer counseling at IBCD, but we do have a variety of free resources on our website which many people find helpful for various situations. To search for a counselor, we refer people to the “Find a Counselor” search tool on ACBC’s website, where you can locate certified biblical counselor in your area or find someone who is able to connect with you virtually.
Do you have resources in Spanish?
Yes! We offer our Care & Discipleship Course and most of our observation videos in Spanish. You can access these resources through a subscription to IBCD Connect.
How do I support IBCD's ministry?
If you’d like to partner with IBCD through making a one-time or ongoing financial contribution, donations can also be mailed to 4141 Pontchartrain Drive, Slidell, LA 70458. You can also give online at ibcd.org/donate.

How do I know which plan is right for me?
If you are an individual looking to get training for yourself, subscribe to our Individual plan. If you are looking to move through our materials with another person (or a group under 15 people), a Small Community plan would be the right fit for you. If you want to host a group of over 15 people, a Large Community plan would be your best option. If you still need help deciding after reading through the 3 subscription types, reach out to us at [email protected]. We’re happy to help!
What do I need to know about billing?
You will be asked to enter your credit card information upon sign up. This card will be automatically charged and be used for all recurring payments and refunds.
Our billing cycles run on this automatic monthly schedule from the time of your subscription registration. You will receive an email reminder notification before your card is charged, so please be mindful of these automatic payments.
How do I cancel my subscription?
To cancel your subscription on IBCD Connect, simply go to the upper right hand corner of your screen, click your profile icon, then click “Manage Subscription.” From there, you can update your payment information and cancel your subscription. If you need additional assistance, please email [email protected].
I'm having trouble logging in to my account. What do I do?
Please make sure you are logging in at connect.ibcd.org NOT at ibcd.org. If you continue to have trouble you can click on the forgot password link to reset your password.

How do I start?
To get started, visit the Care & Discipleship Course page to learn about our training process. From there, create an account on IBCD Connect to access all of our premium biblical counseling training resources.
Is there a time limit for my training?
IBCD does not have a specific timeframe in which you must finish your training. However, if you are using our CDC training for ACBC Certification, then once you finish our course, you have 4 years to complete the rest of Phases 1 and 2. For example, if an individual finishes our CDC program for their Fundamentals Training in 2022, they will need to submit their Phase 2 exams and evaluations by December 31, 2026.
Can I use your training for ACBC Certification?
Yes! IBCD is an ACBC Certified Training Center. Our Care & Discipleship Course is approved as an ACBC Fundamentals Training Course, and most of our observation videos satisfy the 10 hours of required observation. To learn more about using IBCD training for ACBC Certification, visit our ACBC information page.
I'm not seeking to be certified. Is your training still for me?
Yes! You can still benefit from taking our Care & Discipleship Course, even if you are not intending to pursue ACBC Certification. We have many pastors and church leaders who utilize this training to get better equipped to handle God’s Word rightly as they care for people in their community.
