In times of trouble, your church should be eager to weep with you (Rom 12:15), bear your burdens (Gal 6:2), and patiently walk with you toward Christ (1Thess 5:14). But where do you turn for help when the community that God called to care for you turns against you? When unrepentant sin against you is overlooked or even encouraged within a church culture, what should church members or church leaders do? In this workshop, we’ll explore how to counsel both pastors and lay members who have been hurt by their churches and who need help with understanding their pain and navigating next steps.
