If we’re going to help people through their pain, we can’t assume they know how to speak to God in the midst of it. Complaint comes naturally to us all, but biblical lament is a language to be learned in the context of fellowship. In this session, we’ll examine the goal and grace of biblical lament, review a practical approach to teaching lament, and consider the benefits of working through these pain-pressed prayers during a counseling session.
