The disabled person is clearly affected, but so are those who have a relationship with that person, and they need the loving support of others. This session will encourage people to consider how the network of relationships in community, particularly in the church, can minister to the family affected by disability.

  • Curtis Solomon, PhD. is the Executive Director of the Biblical Counseling Coalition, Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Biblical Counseling at Boyce College. His passion for biblical counseling was sparked in 1999 during his first biblical counseling course at The Master's College, where he went on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. He earned a Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, and Doctor of Philosophy from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Curtis is an Air Force veteran and former employee of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. His military background inspired his doctoral research on Post Traumatic Stress. Curtis is certified with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). He is the author of Redeem Your Marriage: Hope for Husbands Who Have Hurt through Pornography and I Have PTSD: Reorienting After Trauma. He and his wife, Jenny, were married in 2003 and have two delightful sons.
