After making his living as an actor in Los Angeles for over 20 years, God called Jay into full-time ministry in 2003. After 13 years pastoring a small mountain church in Weaverville, CA, Jay returned to his roots at Calvary Bible Church in Burbank, CA where he is currently the Lead Pastor. He enjoys food, fly-fishing, pickleball, spending time with his family, and sharing his love of acting and filmmaking with young people. His greatest joy is to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ and learn and grow through the Word of God in the power of the Spirit. Jay is married to his sweetheart, Julie, and together they are proud to have 6 children, one daughter-in-law and their first grandchild
His other interests include sharing his love of acting and filmmaking with young people, fly-fishing and spending time with his family. His greatest joy is to see people learn and grow through the Word of God in the power of God’s Holy Spirit (Colossians 1:28).
Jay was married to his sweetheart, Julie on October 16, 1997 and they are proud to have 6 children and one daughter-in-law: Jack (married to Caylen), Will, Lily, Austin, Geanna and Owen. Everyone is excited about the move back to southern California and CBC, especially their dogs, cats, parakeets and chickens, who are enjoying the warm, southern California sun!
