Some people have thousands of “friends” on social media and yet lack personal connection with others. Some of us have been canceled or unfriended by people whom we once trusted. Scripture offers wisdom as we pursue friendship. We are warned about those who could tear us down and we are encouraged to seek out those who build us up (Prov. 13:20). God’s Word also teaches us how to be a friend and points Jesus the perfect friend to sinners.
