When I first started ministry over forty years ago, I never expected that I would see so many cases of divorce and remarriage within the church. Questions addressed will include: How do we answer those who say that Christians are never free to initiate divorce or to remarry after divorce? Are divorced people still married in God’s eyes? Why would God allow divorce and remarriage? Who regulates divorce and remarriage – the government? the church? What sexual sin could be grounds for divorce? When can a neglected spouse consider themselves abandoned and thus free to divorce? Is abuse grounds for divorce? How can troubled marriages be rescued from divorce?
