Hope + Help for Depressed Christians with Zack Eswine

About the Episode

In this rebroadcast of the Hope + Help Podcast’s very first episode (originally aired April 2019), host Christine Chappell interviews author/Pastor Zack Eswine on the topic of depression. During the conversation, Pastor Zack shares some of his personal experience with despondency, wise & unwise ways to approach loved ones who are suffering, the gift of Scripture’s language for our sorrows, as well as biblical comfort and clarity for those walking through the seasons of darkness.

About the Book

SPURGEON’S SORROWS: REALISTIC HOPE FOR THOSE WHO SUFFER FROM DEPRESSION

Christians should have the answers, shouldn’t they? Depression affects many people both personally and through the ones we love. Here Zack Eswine draws from C.H Spurgeon, ‘the Prince of Preachers’ experience to encourage us. What Spurgeon found in his darkness can serve as a light in our own darkness. Zack Eswine brings you here, not a self–help guide, rather ‘a handwritten note of one who wishes you well.’
